PINE STREET COUNTRY CLUB MAJORS LEAGUE NOW FORMING!
Starting on April 28, 2024, Pine Street Country Club will host a 5 to 8 week league, open to the first 24 paying golfers, with a single-elimination bracket style playoff to determine the Pine Street Majors League Champion.
Format
All 4 regular season rounds will be 9 holes. Pine Street Majors League Bracket will consist of 18 holes. Format is Stroke Play with PSCC Handicaps. Each course will have 5 different sets of tees. Any golfer with a handicap of 0 to 5 will play from the back tees with 100% of their strokes applied. Any golfer with a 6 to 10 handicap will play from the next tees forward and will use 80% of their strokes. Handicaps 11 to 15 will play from the middle tees with 60% of their strokes, followed by the 16-20 handicaps at 40% of their strokes. Lastly, any golfer with a 21 handicap or higher will play from the front tees and they will use 20% of their strokes.
Schedule
Tour players can play these league rounds on their own time during open Club hours. You can play your rounds at any point before the end of May, and it does not need to be on a weekly basis. You must play the 4 courses in order, but you can play them all in 1 week, if you choose. All rounds must be played by May 31, 2024. Pine Street Cup will be hosted between June 1st and June 30th. Each golfer is guaranteed to play 5 rounds, with the possibility of playing 8 rounds.
Bracket Style Championship
A Pine Street Majors League Bracket will begin on June 1 and end on June 30th. All golfers will qualify for the bracket. After the 4 regular season rounds, golfers will be ranked in the order that they finished. There will be a March Madness style bracket formed, and the Number 1 seed will face the Number 24 seed, Number 2 vs Number 23, etc, in a single elimination 18-hole round. Shoot a net score that is lower than your opponent, and you will move on to the next round.
Playoff Tiebreakers
If there is a tie after 18 holes, the players will battle it out in a 3 hole playoff. If still tied after 3 holes, we will play the next holes as sudden death. The player that scores lower than the other player on the next hole wins the match.
Championship Payouts (based on 24 golfers)
1st: Championship Belt, Name on our Champions Plaque, and a $100 gift card
2nd: $50 gift card
3rd: $10 gift card

League Handicaps
If you have played in a league with us recently, we will use your current handicap.
